Topic 01 of 4
How do you help colleagues explore where AI becomes the best tool for their work?
My work with colleagues at a US health system is about exploring things first, and helping them explore where AI becomes the best tool and gives productivity and efficiency gains. I have set up more than twenty of them with VS Code, GitHub Copilot, Python and Node.js, and I advise on when to use Microsoft 365 Copilot and when to use GitHub Copilot CLI.
The department newsletters are my example. Microsoft 365 Copilot does not work for this, because its harness is not built for repetitive work where I keep iterating on the same files and folders under Git version control, so I build them with GitHub Copilot CLI. Without AI, we would not have thought of the task this way, and we would not have done it. The work page says what that involved.
When a task works in GitHub Copilot CLI, I transcribe it into a durable skill in the Agent Skills format, so that I can distribute it to colleagues and they can run it. We have used these skills for PowerPoint presentations, HR headcount analysis and governance, risk and compliance (GRC) work.
I write about exploring where AI becomes the best tool at work.

There was a need for internal newsletters, monthly and half-yearly, one for each department, and I build them with GitHub Copilot CLI and not Microsoft 365 Copilot.

In early 2025, I made comic strips on cybersecurity topics for busy caregivers, with Microsoft 365 Copilot’s image generation for the panels and Figma for the dialogue.
What happens between your prompt and the answer, and how do you keep an agent accountable?
In my own work, I focus on harness engineering and context engineering, and proving what an agent did takes evidence, end-to-end traces and audit logs.

How do you make cybersecurity understandable to people who do not work in it?
My view, which I have not put into practice in my organization, is that awareness programs should use a careful, thoughtfully designed skills survey and request training completion by role, skill level and necessity.

How do you market technical products, such as AI, cybersecurity and developer tools?
When marketing cybersecurity products, we need to understand the pain points very clearly, and the solution we propose should clearly show its technical value.
